January 2020

  • JCBF initiated Tree Planting activity at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. About 10 saplings were planted in recycled plastic beverage bottles.
  • This was jointly done by Trustee Jyoti Dave-Singh and Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA) President Mrs. Manju Tripathi.

February 2020

  • ‘Clean Harbour Project’ of JCBF initiated along with Ferry Owners Association, MCGM & Radio Club a drive to prevent Plastic Pollution of Apollo Bunder Harbour and beautification along P J Ramchandani Marg by putting up posters and painting mural on the wall adjacent to Radio Club Jetty.

 

March 2020

  • Cdr Rajeshwari Kori, Deputy Controller of Civil Defence, Govt of Maharashtra, joined hands with JCBF ‘CHP’ project and initiated prevention of plastic pollution at 5 jetties of Uran, Mora, Revas, Karanjia & Mandawa. JCBF donated 25 Tee shirts for street plays.
  • NSS Students of Uran Education Society street play 1st March at Uran Jetty and took a pledge that they will help prevent plastic pollution of the sea.

March 2020

  • JCBF supported financially Khurshid, Pratik, Salma & Mukesh to procure sight saving device ‘Rose K Lens’ for restoring their sight.
  • JCBF Trustee Jyoti Dave-Singh conducted a training programme on their ‘Educate the Educators’ for teaching of specialty lenses for sight restoration.

  • JCBF continued support education of children of Bauri family.

  • JCBF continued support education of children of Valmiki family.

April 2020

  • JCBF supported a series of teaching webinars under their ‘Educate the Educators’ programme and targeted an audience of average 500 Optometry practitioners and PG students, PAN India. This project was done with JCBF partner Ansal University.

May 2020

  • JCBF Donated Rs. 40,000/- to sponsor fifty PPE Kits for Colaba Community Covid Testing initiative of IESECCI COVID YODDHA EFFORT, in partnership with YUVA VISION, Colaba. These PPE were specifically for Dr. Sweta Shervegar a Covid warrior and a sailor.

June 2020

  • On World Environment day, the tree planting project initiated by JCBF in January, all the saplings were replanted on the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Golf Course by Navy Wives Welfare Association President Mrs. Manju Tripathi.

July 2020

  • JCBF agreed to sponsor IESECCI for free ­telemedicine medical check up for the economically weaker section of society for 40 patients initially at their ‘Community Clinic’.
  • IESECCI (Indian Ex Defence Service Employees Chamber of  Commerce and Industries), a Veterans Non­Profit, endeavors to bridge with the civil society in aspects that require understanding and appreciation of crisis
    management at onset of natural disasters and    human related calamities.

August to November

  • JCBF supported financially for full examination & supply of spectacles to Anand, Lakshman & Umme.

December 2020

  • JCBF took forward the ‘Clean Harbour Project’ by organising to motorise Water Garbage Scooper by solar power. Once completed the WGS will be put back to clean ‘Apollo Bunder Harbour’ at the jetties at Gateway of India. Mumbai
