JCBF organized the United Services Club Ladies Golf tournament for fundraising. A total of 84 Golfers participated at the gunshot start-off at 06.30 hrs. Managing Trustee Mrs. Jyoti Dave-Singh in a four-ball team with Vice Admiral Sanjiv Bhasin, FOC-in-C Western Naval Command and Patron of U.S. Club, Trustee Vice Admiral (Ret'd) Madanjit Singh and Industrialist Mr. Ajay Kanoria.

The awards ceremony organized with the sponsorship of SKIL Group entertained the golfers with an exotic performance by Trustee Isha Dave’s troupe of belly dancers and The Indian Navy Band.

The awards ceremony was graced by the chief guest FOC-in-C Western Naval Command and patron of U.S. Club Vice Admiral Sanjiv Bhasin. Seen in the picture, the chief Guest and Trustee Vice Admiral (Retd) Madanjit Singh award the prize for the best Lady Golfer to Mrs. Rani Maheshwari. A total of Rs. 50,000/- was collected for the Foundation.

Continuation of the JCBF-HR College Vision Screening Program: Phase 3.

With the completion of phase 2 in December 2010, the children who required further investigation at the clinic/hospital were then examined and supplied prescriptions for new spectacles, which were subsequently made.

In phase 3, the students of HR College were taught how to dispense the new spectacles made for the school children under the JCBF 'Train the Trainers' program.

The children are then taught how to clean and maintain their new spectacles and written instructions are reviewed by the trainers.

Mooted 'Khandhli Vision Center' rural project in Gujarat.

This new health centre was opened in the rural village of Khandhli , with the assistance of a government program for rural India and funded partially by donations from local citizens. The government encourages NGOs to participate in such programs. JCBF has undertaken the execution and operation of a Vision Centre where basic primary eye care services will be provided by a government appointed optometrist. JCBF will be providing spectacles to the underprivileged and marginalized.

Everyone's a winner! All the winners and participants (28 in total) of JCBF-HR College Project were given certificates to appreciate their services for community eye care.

8th October, 2011

JCBF donated one hundred reading spectacles to Gunateet Jyot Institution which runs the 'Puppaji Multitherapy Centre' & ' Sonaba Medical Centre' based in Vallabh Vidyanagar in Gujarat. These reading spectacles were distributed to all the voluntary health workers and voluntary doctors who are 'Saadhvis' and who have given their lives to serve the poor and marginalized.
