Duruelo Convent High School

  • Vision Screening (VS) was conducted at Duruelo Convent High School, Bandra.
  • A total of 655 students were screened.
  • One child was further assessed at Lotus Eye Hospital.
  • Twenty-eight children were dispensed with spectacles.
  • All costs were borne by JCBF.

JCBF Awards Distribution For Vision Screening
Lotus School of Optometry Students

  • JCBF conducted an Award Distribution Ceremony for students of Lotus School of Optometry on 22nd February 2025 during the Shree Naval P. Balliwala Scientific Session.
  • Prizes were awarded for student performance in Vision Screening and Eye Examination at the hospital.
  • All participating students were presented with Certificates of Appreciation.

  • Vision Screening (VS) was conducted at Laxmi Nagar Mumbai Public School, Khar on 19th March as part of the World Optometry Day celebration.
  • A total of 489 students and 20 staff members were screened.
  • Thirty-three children were further assessed at Lotus Eye Hospital.
  • Twenty-five children were dispensed with spectacles.
  • All costs were borne by JCBF.

  • Vision Screening (VS) was conducted at Shindewadi Mumbai Public School, Dadar on 1st August 2025.
  • A total of 435 students and 37 staff members were screened.
  • Eight children were further assessed at the JCBF Clinic.
  • Four children were further assessed at Accurasight Hospital by Pediatric Ophthalmologist Dr. Hemalini Sawant.
  • Five children were dispensed with spectacles.
  • All costs were borne by JCBF.

  • Vision Screening (VS) was conducted at Sitaram Mill Compound Mumbai Public School, Dadar on 4th August 2025.
  • A total of 486 students and 6 staff members were screened.
  • Seven children were further assessed at the JCBF Clinic.
  • One child was further assessed at Accurasight Hospital by Pediatric Ophthalmologist Dr. Hemalini Sawant.
  • Five children were dispensed with spectacles.
  • All costs were borne by JCBF.

  • Vision Screening (VS) was conducted at Mahatma Nagar Mumbai Public School, Masjid Bunder on 21st August 2025.
  • A total of 55 students and 5 staff members were screened.
  • Three children and two staff members were dispensed with spectacles.
  • All costs were borne by JCBF.

  • A total of 430 students and 28 staff members were screened.
  • Fourteen children were further assessed at Accurasight Hospital by Pediatric Ophthalmologist Dr. Hemalini Sawant.
  • Seven children were dispensed with spectacles.
  • All costs were borne by JCBF.

  • A total of 464 students and 15 staff members were screened.
  • Ten children were further assessed at Accurasight Hospital by Pediatric Ophthalmologist Dr. Hemalini Sawant.
  • Seven children were dispensed with spectacles.
  • All costs were borne by JCBF.

  • Vision Screening (VS) was conducted at Natvar Nagar Mumbai Public School, Jogeshwari on 10th October 2025.
  • A total of 436 students and 30 staff members were screened.
  • Twelve children were further assessed at Lotus Eye Hospital.
  • Seven children were dispensed with spectacles.
  • All costs were borne by JCBF.

  • Vision Screening (VS) was conducted at Abhudaya Nagar Mumbai Public School, Kala Chowki on 14th and 21st November 2025.
  • A total of 500 students and 40 staff members were screened.
  • Fifteen children were further assessed at Accurasight Hospital by Pediatric Ophthalmologist Dr. Hemalini Sawant.
  • Eight children were dispensed with spectacles.
  • All costs were borne by JCBF.

JCBF & MOA - Joint Venture
CPD PROGRAMME

  • JCBF, in collaboration with MOA, is conducting a series of 12 webinars—one each month.
  • This initiative aims to upskill optometrists as well as optometry students under the “Educate the Educators” program.

JCBF & MOA SGM Meet

  • JCBF sponsored the MahaOptometry Association AGM meet on 12th October 2025.
  • The meeting was held at the Royal Bombay Yacht Club at Gateway of India.
  • The main purpose of the meeting was to plan the upcoming conference on 14th February 2026, organize the CPD Programme, and discuss updates on the NCAHP Act.

JCBF ‘Educate the Educator’ Programme

  • JCBF partnered with MOA to organize the annual conference scheduled for 14th February 2026.
  • JCBF will sponsor registration fees for 50 faculty members and PG students under the “Educate The Educator” and “Train The Trainers” programmes.
  • All institutions and colleges of Optometry in Maharashtra will be involved.
