JCBF participated in COSI conference in Delhi of senior Optometrists and Ophthalmologists in a workshop to suggest the required qualifications of Optometrists manning vision centers to be set up by the Government regulatory body.

Continuing support for Harsh Krishnamurthy. JCBF helped Harsh to be admitted to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan school in Colaba, Mumbai.

JCBF sponsored child Tanisha Krishnamurthy for education starting with KG to be followed by primary, secondary and college.

Vision screening Program was organized by Ms.Aureen Vaz Of Akanksha Foundation and Ms. Vishwa Sanghavi at Laxminagar Mumbai Public School on 22nd August 2016 & 30th August 2016. Team of Optometrist from Lotus School of Optometry aided the screening.

At Lotus Eye Hospital,a detailed eye examination for 48 children & 2 teachers was conducted by Dr Neepa Thacker and a team of students from Lotus College Of Optometry.

• Vision screening Program conducted at Laxminagar Mumbai Public School run by Akanksha Foundation.
• 192 children & teachers screened.
• 50 children and teachers referred to Lotus Eye Hospital.
• 30 children and teachers were prescribed and supplied with spectacles.
• Two children referred for squint surgery at Lotus Eye Hospital.
• Cost for the full project was borne by JCBF

28 children of Laxminagar Mumbai Public School run by Akanksha Foundation were dispensed spectacles by Voluntary Optometrist Vishwa Sanghavi of Primary Eyecare Centre.
